Chen Liu

Chen is the host of mep — welcoming artists, designers, collaborators, and friends into a space shaped by shared curiosity and everyday rituals.

With a background in Museum Studies at University College London, she has worked with contemporary art institutions across London, Bath, Shanghai, and Switzerland, and has long been engaged in bringing Asian art into dialogue with European cultural contexts.

"Mep supports contemporary art that is both exploratory and grounded in real life, and is interested in how art continues to unfold within everyday urban experience.

We believe art does not only exist inside exhibition spaces, but also in encounters, shared moments, and the quiet rituals of daily life."

She currently is active across curatorial, academic, and urban cultural projects. Her work often explores how art can emerge beyond traditional institutions — in public space, in daily life, and at the intersection of art and technology.
