About the event
In collaboration with mep, achoo.collective presents the first edition of the KànKàn screening series. In Chinese, “KànKàn” can be translated as “to take a look.” The phrase suggests a tentative gesture: to watch, and to open a space for feeling, reflection, and exchange.
The screening features filmmaker Fei Fan’s short film Fenni in Wonderland and artist Chaolin Li’s dual-screen video work A Letter from Home. Together, the two works weave distant lands, bodies, stories and memories — moving between here and there, across the shifting borders of belonging, longing, and return.
Following the screening, we will host a conversation with Chaolin Li.
Sweets made with ingredients carried in suitcases from home will be served on site.
