About the event

MEP will host a small-scale lino print workshop led by artist Tetiana Kartasheva. Designed as a beginner-friendly creative session, the workshop invites participants to create their own abstract print using hand-cut linoleum shapes, manual inking, and layered composition. No previous experience is required.

Participants will be guided through the process and will produce at least one finished print of their own. The workshop also includes one MEP matcha drink specially created for the event and a light snack, completing the artistic afternoon with additional  sensory experience.

🖌️

The works are created using hand-cut shapes from linoleum, arranged and printed manually.

Unlike traditional linocut, where ink is rolled onto the surface of a carved block, this method treats linoleum cut-outs as movable individual elements. They can be printed separately or layered in combination to build complex compositions, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind prints.
